XLR8 (pronounced in the same way as "accelerate") is one of the plethora of alternate alien forms granted to child superhero Ben Tennyson by the alien artefact known as The Omnitrix. He is created from the genetic sample of a Kineceleran from the planet Kinet.
Description[]
Roughly humanoid in appearance, XLR8 sports a long prehensile tail, hands with only two, clawlike fingers, a pair of stabilisers on his back which resemble fins, and an elongated head which appears to be used as a kind of rudder. His legs are digitigrade in nature and end in a pair of roller balls, which he uses to achieve his extraordinary speed.
Powers and Abilities[]
XLR8 is capable of achieving tremendous speeds, possibly in excess of 500 mph, along with the reflexes to match. His mind appears to function at a similar level, allowing him to effectively utilise his abilities without fear of crashing headlong into every obstacle he comes across. This speed also allows him to run on water, shoot straight up sheer surfaces, and jump a considerable distance. In addition, XLR8 is possessed of a degree of enhanced durability, whilst his tail may be used as as an additional limb in certain circumstances.
Weaknesses[]
The speed at which XLR8's brain operates can be something of a curse as well as a blessing, as he has been known to let his concentration wander when events are not progressing swiftly enough to hold his attention.
