The Wraith is the Charlie Manx's vehicle that appeared in the Joe Hill's supernatural-horror novel titled NOS4A2. In the TV series however, after following Vic McQueen onto the Shorter Way and falling into a pit of white static, Manx was killed and both he and the wrecked Wraith washed up in Haverhill a month later. Manx's body was cremated and the Wraith was crushed in a junkyard to ensure his permanent demise. hich he used to access Christmasland.
Additionally, the Wraith is capable of driving itself and there appears to be a force field separating the front seat from the back, preventing the passenger from escaping. Manx first discovered this connection when his wife, Cassie, tried to leave with their daughter, Millie. Manx offered to give her a ride to her sister's house. It was during the ride that Manx's eyes filled with white static, as Millie transformed into a vampire and ripped the skin from her mother's flesh, empowering Manx. He would then go on to see Christmasland for the very first time, realizing then and there his true potential. However, with every gift comes a weakness. Manx is required to drive children to Christmasland in his Wraith in order to maintain his youth and immortality. Without it, he ages rapid.
