Worgs are magical beasts that appear in the roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons. These creatures resembled large wolves, standing at 3 feet tall and 5 feet long. They typically have grey or black fur and also have glowing eyes.
Like wolves, worgs operated in packs and tended to hunt smaller, more feeble prey. They were, however, highly intelligent as well and could communicate in Common or Goblin languages. When hunting, they would use hit-and-run tactics to wear prey down over a steady period. When the prey was considered to be weak enough, the entire pack would move in for the kill.
Worgs could often be found in the service of orcs or goblins, being used as either attack dogs or riding mounts.
