Wildvine is one of the many extraterrestrial forms made available to young hero Ben Tennyson by the alien artefact The Omnitrix in Cartoon Network's animated franchise Ben 10.
Description[]
Although Ben's transformation varies drastically between the original and reboot series, in both it is created from the DNA sample of a Florauna alien from the planet Flors Verdance.
Original Series[]
A being which appears to be made almost entirely from vines, the original series depicted Wildvine as a creature with four tendril-like legs, a wiry body and long, thin arms whose fingers are more like the roots of a plant than mammalian digits. He displays a pair of shoulder growths which resemble the jaws of a Venus Flytrap, and has a single eye in the centre of his head with an additional one on each shoulder.
Reboot Series[]
The reimagined version of Wildvine is a much more humanoid creature, although still cyclopean in nature, appearing to consist of vegetable matter and sharing his attributes with the original incarnation.
Powers and Abilities[]
Wildvine is possessed of both a high degree of superhuman strength and the natural ability to absorb a great deal of physical punishment. He is also capable of speedily regenerating damage and the loss of limbs. In addition, he is has shown the power to elongate his appendages into tendrils, giving him a surprising reach for his size and enabling him to swing himself quickly from place to place, mentally command any nearby living plant matter, launch poisoned seeds from pods on his back, grow thorns from various parts of his body to use as weapons, and burrow his extremities through both soft soil and rock to attack his opponents from below.
