a Ushirogami is a type of ghostly fear-spirit from Japanese folklore that enjoys tormenting lone women and attacks via playing cruel pranks such as tugging a victim's hair, materializing behind them and even altering the weather so as to cause strong gusts of wind that upset umbrellas and cause mischief.
They enjoy touching victims with icy hands or hot breath and due to their strange nature and their tendency to attack with unseen mischief they can be seen as minor embodiments both of fear and the wind at night.
