Upgrade was the Omnitrix's genetic sample of a Galvanic Mechamorph alien from Galvan Prime's moon, Galvan B, which was used to create one of Ben Tennyson's alternate forms in the Cartoon Network animated series Ben 10.
Description[]
Appearing in its most basic form as a tall, slender humanoid with dark skin featuring circuit-like markings, Upgrade was able to change the size, shape and density of his body to fit around other objects or become a kind of mobile oil slick, and to fire a blast of energy from the centre of his forehead. In addition, he was gifted with a degree of enhanced strength and durability along with a minor regenerative attribute, and could survive for a short period of time in the vacuum of space. His greatest ability however, was the the power to merge with items of technology, and boost their properties far beyond their original design parameters; for example, he has merged with the Rustbucket (Team Tennyson's camper van) and transform it into both a spacecraft and battle-mech on several occasions.
Upgrade was a technological being, at least in part, and was thus highly susceptible to electrical attacks, as well as being adversely affected by magnetic pulses and fields.
Reboot Upgrade's Fate[]
In the rebooted series of Ben 10, Upgrade was apparently sacrificed when Ben used his DNA sample to enhance the Omnitrix and thereby unlock the Omni-Enhanced modes of his other forms.
