Titania is a character who appears in Wyrd Games' Malifaux universe.
Description[]
Undead fey creature with humanoid shape and wings. Her skin is unnaturally pale, and her eyes are pitch black with a reddish glow. Her wings, on the other hand, are deep red like autumn leaves.
Titania is one of the oldest habitants of Malifaux, and the first undead creature in existence there. She is the queen of Malifaux fairies, and many others bow to her will as well. Although she is a powerful spell caster, she is hungry for her lost powers both magical and political. She has trouble accepting her loss of sovereign, but at least to mortal mind she seems very patient.
History[]
Titania ruled over Malifaux long ago, until her reign was contested by beings known as Tyrants. This new threat attempted to overthrow her fairy kingdom. She and her forces of Autumn confronted the Tyrants and Titania had a key role in the destruction of the invaders. This victory came at a great cost to the queen of the fae: the powers she channeled were ultimately too powerful even for her, and she died in the process and became the first undead creature to exist on Malifaux.
When Titania was at her weakest, some of her allies were convinced that neither fey nor Tyrants should exist in Malifaux, and secured the fey to a prison that should have lasted for all eternity. Then humans found their way to Malifaux and accidentally opened the seals of fairy prison.
This awakened Titania, and she immediately started to amass an army out of former and new allies to forge a new empire.
Powers and Abilities[]
When she was alive, she had immense power. After dying she lost most of it, but she is still wields potent magic at her disposal. This magic waxes and wanes depending on the passage of seasons. During autumn her powers are at their peak.
- Life Drain - Titania slowly drains life from nearby creatures. She can focus this ability, and siphon life from a particular target. This effect is made more powerful if there are plants native to Malifaux near target.
- Plant Generation - She has the power to grow plants on command and even direct them to move.
- Flight - Titania has wings and can use them.
- Immortality - The queen of fey is immortal and never dies of old age. Although some method to destroy her may exist, it is unknown.
