Tentomon is a Child-level Insect Digimon. It is the "original" Insect Digimon species that possesses the uncommon characteristic of bearing Data, Vaccine and Virus attributes. It resembles a large ladybird, sporting a bright red shell covered with several black hemispheres. Its six limbs include a long pair of arms ending in blunt claws, a shorter pair of arms sporting four-fingered hands and a pair of legs with three-toed feet. Its head sports two large, green compound eyes and a pair of ribbon-like antennae. Insectoid wings concealed beneath its shell allow it to fly.
Tentomon is intelligent and inquisitive while also rather easy-going. It is generally friendly towards others, though it also possesses a keen fighting spirit.

- Double Punch - Tentomon uses its upper limbs to deliver a two-hit combo punch.
- Rolling Guard - Tentomon curls into a ball to block incoming attacks.
- Super Shocker - Tentomon generates electricity between its antennae in order to cast a bolt of lightning at its foe.
- Rhino Spin - Tentomon spins around on its back while charged with electricity.
- Dynamo Spin - Tentomon spins through the air while charged with electricity.
- Claw Rush - Tentomon dashes at the enemy whilst repeatedly jabbing with its claws.
