Tentacool is a Water/Poison-type Pokémon. This jellyfish Pokémon can be found in oceans all over the world, though larger groups of them tend to be found in shallow coastal waters.

Tentacool is a small jellyfish Pokémon with a soft, bulbous body and two thin tentacles. 99% of its body is made up of water and it cannot survive long on land. Often, Tentacool end up drifting ashore where humans will find them shriveled up from dehydration, but they will quickly revive if thrown back into the water. The red crystal-like formations on Tentacool's head are used to absorb sunlight which is refracted using the water within its body to form beam energy that can be emitted from the smaller crystal between the two large ones.

- Poison Sting - Tentacool can inflict poison on opponents using the tips of its tentacles.
- Constrict - Tentacool uses its appendages to ensnare its opponent and deal minor damage as it tightens its grip.
- Supersonic - Tentacool can emit sonic waves to disorient and confuse its enemy.
- Bubble Beam - A beam of energy bubbles fired from the gem on Tentacool's head.

Tentacool evolves into Tentacruel at Level 30.
