The Sugarplum Fairy was one of the monsters which appeared in the 2012 fantasy-horror movie The Cabin in the Woods.
Description[]
A petite humanoid creature with the body of a young ballerina, the Sugarplum Fairy’s most distinguishing feature was her face, or lack thereof. The whole front of her head was taken up by a gaping maw similar to that of a lamprey, lined with multiple rows of sharp teeth.
Like all of the monsters featured in the film, the Sugarplum Fairy was initially held captive in The Facility waiting to be summoned as part of The Ritual. However, she is released during the events of the System Purge.
The Sugarplum Fairy could be summoned by the use of a small musical box featuring a twirling ballerina in the basement, and would have been the chosen monster if her tune had been allowed to play to completion.
Trivia[]
- Although her name is written on the Whiteboard, no department wagered on her.
