Skum are fish-like humanoid monsters from the roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons. They appear to be the same size and basic shape of humans, but have clear aquatic features such as slimy, scaly skin, fins and often tails. While capable of functioning on land for a time, skum need to be in close proximity to water.
Skum were created by aboleths as a slave race, though the precise method behind their creation is fuzzy at best. Some accounts state that skum were once human beings that were transformed after coming into contact with an aboleth's slimy mucous while others say that these creatures are a product of obscene breeding programs conducted on humans by aboleths.
Abilities[]
- Amphibious - Skum are at their best in water, though are capable of operating on dry land for a time.
