Sirenjaws (Latin: Gigantus crocodiliad) are creatures which appear in the comic book Skull Island: The Birth of Kong.
Description[]
An enormous species of crocodile, adult Sirenjaws measure somewhere between 45 and 65 feet in length and weigh several tons. Although they are ambush predators like all crocodiles, they have evolved a unique method of attracting prey. During a Sirenjaws’ adolescent years, it develops a symbiotic relationship with a certain species of deciduous tree which forms a colony along the bony plates of it back. These growths make the creature appear to be nothing more than a small outcrop of land when submerged, and so it will wait until a hungry victim comes along to feet upon the juicy leaves of these trees, whereupon it will rear from the water and drag the unwary animal down into the depths to be consumed at leisure.
Sirenjaws are a species unique to Skull Island.
