Siren Head is a humanoid monster created in 2018 by the Canadian artist respectfully known as Trevor Henderson. Siren Head was described by Henderson as the "[s]tatic physical form of [an] unfathomable supernatural entity."[1] Siren Head is approximately 40 feet tall,[2] can see without having any eyes, doesn't eat, despite having organic teeth, is rarely seen in areas with large populations, and is usually stationary but can move very quickly.[3] It uses its telephone pole-like appearance to hunt humans.[1]

Siren Head has become extremely popular over the recent years after well-known YouTubers such as CoryxKenshin, Markiplier, PewDiePie, and Jacksepticeye made their own videos about the creature and its various media and unofficial video games. Many fan-made video games featuring Siren Head exist[4], though they are not made by Henderson himself.

History[]

Siren Head was created back in 2018, by the Canadian designer, artist, and comic maker known as Trevor Henderson. Trevor's inspiration for Siren Head's creation was the now very known creepypasta villain known as Slender Man. The first photo of Siren Head to ever exist was an image featuring Siren Head standing still at a graveyard. Henderson later started making more and more images of Siren Head, expanding on the creature's story and the disappearances[5] of numerous victims all over the world.

Siren Head is primarily found in the woods, similarly to Slender Man, where it will release sounds out of the sirens atop its head in order to lure victims into its trap, where it will ultimately kill and eat the victims it is successful in luring. A video game developer known as Modus Interactive, created the first Siren Head fan-made video game, simply named Siren Head. In the game, a park ranger is trying to find a lost hiker, who they find dead, before Siren Head appears behind the ranger and chases after them. The game ends once the ranger escapes in a vehicle.[citation needed]

A YouTube horror channel known as Billy Styler has created several videos on Siren Head, providing full details about the creature and giving Siren Head a lot of new attention. Most of these videos gained a lot of attention giving Siren Head more exposure to the world. Another thing which helped Siren Head grow was the video game, Fallout 4, when a mod for the game featuring Siren Head as an enemy released. A YouTuber made videos about the mod, further growing Siren Head's popularity. He even made a video where he killed Siren Head in Fallout 4, which also gained a lot of attention.[citation needed]

In 2020, Siren Head has became mainstream in the YouTube gaming community, first popularized when Markiplier made a video playing the Siren Head game. Jacksepticeye and PewDiePie followed, giving Siren Head even more attention. A TikTok video was created about Siren Head which also gained attention and became a meme where the original sound of Siren Head was changed into popular music or other sounds.[citation needed]
