Shalsha % 28Anime% 29

Shalsha is one of the main characters of Slime Taoshite 300 nen. She is the culmination of various spirits of the slimes killed by Azusa Aizawa during her tenure of killing slimes, and as such sought to kill her on their first encounter. She is the younger and twin sister of Falfa.

Background[]

Shalsha, the youngest daughter of Azusa, is a shy and reserved girl, widely recognized for her exceptional intellect and talent across various scholarly and artistic fields.

Born from the collective will of the many slime spirits Azusa had defeated over the years, Shalsha initially channeled her brilliance into a deep hatred for her mother. Using her knowledge, she crafted a highly specialized spell intended to kill Azusa. However, thanks to the intervention of her sister Falfa and Laika—and the complex nature of the spell itself—her attempt ultimately failed. Despite this, Azusa welcomed her with open arms, embracing her as a beloved member of the family.

Appearance[]

Shalsha bears a strong physical and stylistic resemblance to her sister Falfa, though with notable distinctions. She has medium-length light green hair, tied into twin tails with light blue bands, and striking blue or violet eyes. Her outfit consists of a strapped dress with slits at the flanks, worn over an off-white, pink short-sleeved undershirt, paired with knee-length bloomers.

Personality[]

A direct contrast to Falfa, Shalsha is far more reserved and introverted, often reluctant to interact with unfamiliar people and only speaking when necessary. When she does speak, her language tends to be precise, technical, and noticeably verbose.

Though exceptionally intelligent and academically gifted, Shalsha retains the emotional maturity of a young child, much like her twin sister. Her initial obsession with avenging the slimes Azusa had slain consumed her to the point of tunnel vision, leading her to disregard the long-term consequences of her actions—most notably wasting fifty years of her life after missing the one-hour window to cast Smite Evil. Her relentless pursuit of this goal underscores her deep sense of determination and dedication, having trained extensively in the deadly magic required for her plan.

Beneath her aloof demeanor, however, Shalsha reveals a softer side once she relinquishes her quest for revenge. She grows to cherish the time spent with her sister and her newfound mother, Azusa, embracing her place within their loving and unconventional family.

Powers and abilities[]

As demonstrated in her initial appearance, Shalsha wields a highly specialized variant of the Smiting Evil spell—meticulously designed to nullify the powers of, specifically target, and ultimately kill the Witch of the Highlands, the title Azusa held at the time. However, her narrow focus proved to be a double-edged sword; having spent fifty years mastering only that single spell, she was utterly unprepared for combat outside its use. This left her vulnerable, resulting in her swift defeat and unconsciousness at the hands of Laika’s Dragon Punch.

Despite this, Shalsha's long lifespan—having lived for over fifty years—has allowed her to amass a vast reservoir of knowledge, particularly in abstract and intellectual disciplines such as theology, politics, and other philosophical fields. Over time, she has established numerous connections and correspondences with university professors and fellow scholars, giving her access to a breadth of perspectives and insight beyond her own. This network of thinkers has proven invaluable when faced with unfamiliar challenges, such as when Falfa reverted into a slime and required assistance.

In addition to her academic talents, Shalsha possesses artistic skill, particularly in painting. Her aptitude was first remarked upon by her sister Falfa and later demonstrated when she painted a heartfelt portrait of Halkara as part of a farewell gift from the twins.
