Seamus, sometimes referred to as The Mad Hatter with a Handcannon, is one of the primary characters of the Resurrectionist faction in Wyrd Games Malifaux universe.

Description[]

A slim Irishman who usually dresses in the garb of a nineteenth-century street thug, Seamus has bushy grey porkchops and is never seen without either his trademark top hat or extremely large-calibre flintlock pistol. A man of jovial demeanour, he is also Malifaux’s most feared serial killer, his fame so great that it has spread through the Breach to our world.

He is often found accompanied by the Copycat Killer, a diminutive leprechaun-like creature who looks like Seamus in all respects other than size, and can usually be found surrounded by his Belles, undead prostitutes who follow his every whim.

History[]

Once little more than a Jack the Ripper-esque murdered, since coming to Malifaux, Seamus has unearthed a number of ancient tomes penned by the former rulers of that city. These writings granted Seamus the knowledge of how to use soul stone magic to conquer the boundaries of death, and since then he has become a master of the art of necromancy.

Seamus has taken the writings in his books quite literally however, and sees in them many references to a graveyard spirit, a creature of undeath who can grant those who summon it any manner of carnal pleasure. To this effect, Seamus has dedicated his life to the ultimate goal of becoming proficient enough in his art to call and bind this creature to his will.

As Malifaux’s premier serial killer, Seamus is perhaps the most feared creature in all of the city, even more so than the Neverborn monstrosities which plague the human population, and his name is regularly splashed across the front pages of the local rags along with descriptions of his latest atrocities in all their gory detail. His most notorious crime occurred on the night when he entered Madame Sybelle’s Saloon, an establishment of ill repute and, in an evening of unparalleled carnage, slaughtered Madame Sybelle and all of her girls, subsequently raising them as his strangely provocative undead servants, albeit ones with some ghastly “modifications.”
