A Sagari is a strange and disturbing ghost-yokai that manifests as a large horse head that hangs from a tree, when victims stray close by the spirit will drop down and startle them with unnatural cries - sometimes these cries will also inflict fever.
A Sagari is born from the unhappy soul of a deceased horse that has been discarded at the side of a road, as their souls rose to the afterlife sometimes they would end up stuck upon nearby trees - any soul that became trapped in such a fashion would become a Sagari.
