Rocket Raccoon is a fictional character, a superhero from the Marvel Comics universe. He is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
His first appearance was in Marvel Preview #7 (June 1976) and he was created by Bill Mantlo and Keith Giffen. Since then he had remained under moderate fame until in 2011 he appeared in the video game Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, becoming popular again, and finishing establishing himself as a leading character in the Guardians of the Galaxy tape of the year 2014.
