Razordons are creatures which appear in Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy and Age of Sigmar settings.
Description[]
Large reptilian insectivores, Razordons are quadrupedal creatures with an armoured, spiny carapace and long tail equipped with a heavy thagomizer. Their most unique feature is their hunting method: a Razordon will creep close to its prey - the many oversized flying insects which inhabit the swamps of Lustria - before contracting several specialised muscles in its back in order to shoot forth a spray of the many dart-like bony structures which cover its hide. Some of these missiles will - hopefully - pierce their victim, allowing the Razordon to easily snap them up in its powerful jaws.
Applications in Battle[]
Whilst Razordons are really too wild to be properly domesticated, when the Lizardmen go to war brave Skinks will herd these beasts onto the field by poking them with long spears, where they will use them as living cannons, their projectile attacks acting in a manner similar to that of grapeshot. Although this is a dangerous task for the Skink handlers, the resulting carnage unleashed by a group of Razordons firing their spines en masse is considered well worth the risk.
In addition, should an opponent get too close to a Razordon, it can be goaded into simply tearing them to bits with its strong jaws, or bashing them with its club-like tail.
