Rachni Workers are tiny Rachni that normally serve constructive purposes within Rachni hives, tending to the needs of the Queen and building new structures as and when needed. They also have their uses in battle, acting as the first wave for Rachni Soldiers by scouting enemy territory. These small Rachni are very weak in comparison to soldiers and can be killed with just one or two shots from a pistol, but should they get close enough they will explode violently and cause toxic damage.
