The Power Master is an enemy that appears in the night-time stages of the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 version of Sonic Unleashed. It is a variant of the Dark Master, an intelligent Dark Gaia minion with a humanoid appearance.
The Power Master's form consists of oxford-blue robes with glowing purple markings and yellow eyes beneath its hood. It carries a purple staff that allows it to cast spells to empower its allies. In combat, the Power Master's magic will increase the strength and durability of any Dark Gaia minion or Eggman robot within range, making them that much harder for Sonic the Werehog to defeat. The spells will wear off over time; even if the Power Master that cast the spell is killed, its spell will remain active until wearing off on its own.
The Power Master is also adept at stick fighting. If Sonic is close to it, it will attack by swinging its staff. The staff enlarges when swung. Like the other Master variants, the Power Master will also teleport around the battlefield to avoid being struck. Oddly enough, it cannot use its magic to enhance its own strength.
