Pirate

The Pirate is a type of Emblem Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts. Resembling actual pirates, these enemies were encountered by Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy in Neverland. They were made to resemble pirates so they would fit in among Captain Hook's crew, but eventually replaced the crew of the Jolly Roger.

Pirates can be recognised by their patchwork clothing and red bandannas, though these garments do not fully conceal the standard Heartless traits such as their jagged lower jaws. In battle, they carry large curved blades similar to Chinese dao and attack by repeatedly swinging these blades while walking towards their foes. They also perform lethal lunging attacks, but should these attacks be blocked then the Pirate will fall over, leaving it vulnerable until it gets up again.
