Pinocchio and the other fairy tale characters are left in the care of the swamp when Shrek leaves for Far Far Away along with Fiona. When Prince Charming and the fairytale villains attack Far Far Away, he and the fairytale characters distract them while his friends Fiona and her mother escape . When Charming asks where Shrek is, knowing that he can't lie, Pinocchio tries to do his best "not to say where he isn't." Later they have him locked in a glass case, where they insert a coin and a small curtain opens, using it as a show.
Shrek forever after[]
Pinocchio appears taking Rumpelstiltskin out of the library. At the Ogre Triplets party he dances to a birthday song. In the alternate reality (after Shrek signs the contract with Rumpelstiltskin) Pinocchio appears asking Rumpel for a contract to become a real boy, but Rumpel inadvertently covers Pinocchio's signature. After Rumpel offers a contract to whom he catches Shrek, Pinocchio dresses Geppetto as Shrek, but for saying that Geppetto is Shrek his nose grows. Returning to normal, a witch appears riding on Pinocchio's nose.
