The Phaz-Ing is an amorphous, fluidic creature that appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Its behaviour and appearance are similar to the Inglets that Samus Aran encountered in Metroid Prime 2, though this creature is not of the Ing race. It is comprised of pure liquid Phazon and is capable of shifting in and out of its liquid state.
Phaz-Ing are encountered in multiple locations throughout Metroid Prime 3, typically in narrow and confined areas like corridors. They frequently phase between liquid form and a semi-solid stalk form; in stalk form, they attack by firing charged blasts of Phazon energy. Phaz-Ing are most vulnerable when they are about to attack and can be destroyed by any of Samus' standard beam weapons or even with the Grapple Beam.
