Parasite Cage

The Parasite Cage is a type of Emblem Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts. Appearing as the boss of Monstro, it is fought within the colossal whale's stomach.

Background

During the events of Kingdom Hearts, Maleficent sent Riku into Monstro's innards to capture the heart of Pinocchio. When Pinocchio ran away from Riku, he was captured by the Parasite Cage that rested within Monstro's bowels. Sora, Donald and Goofy fought the monster, but it escaped with Pinocchio's heart.

Sora pursued Riku into Monstro's stomach where he encountered the Parasite Cage again, only this time the creature had grown in size. The Parasite Cage used Monstro's own stomach acids to defend itself from Sora, but was eventually destroyed and Pinocchio was released.

Abilities

First Battle

• Left Tentacle: the Parasite Cage swings its left appendage.
• Right Tentacle: the Parasite Cage swings its right appendage.
• Double Swing: the Parasite Cage connects its appendages and swings them in both directions, characterized for being its strongest attack.

Second Battle

• Left Tentacle: the Parasite Cage swings its left appendage.
• Super Left Tentacle: the Parasite Cage swings its left appendage more powerfully (marked by the mandibles at the end shining at the height of swing).
• Right Tentacle: the Parasite Cage swings its right appendage.
• Super Right Tentacle: the Parasite Cage swings its right appendage more powerfully (marked by the mandibles at the end shining at the height of swing).
• Double Swing: the Parasite Cage connects its appendages and swings them in both directions (one of its strongest attacks).
• Stomach Acid: the appendages' mandibles absorb stomach acid from Monstro's stomach and the head fired it as a poisonous gas; best avoided on the ground.
• Swing: the appendages mount themselves on the ground and the cage swings into the air; best avoided to the side.
