Omanyte is a Rock/Water-type Pokémon based on an ammonite. Believed to have gone extinct tens of thousands of years ago, it has since been resurrected in modern times thanks to genetic engineering technology and has been reintroduced into the wild in certain regions. Omanyte can be cloned from ancient DNA extracted from a Helix Fossil.

Omanyte - known as the Spiral Pokémon - is a cephalopod/mollusk with a soft, gelatinous body featuring sky-blue skin, two eyes with large black pupils and white sclera, and ten small tentacles. Most of its body is hidden within a cream-coloured helix spiral-patterned shell. It will withdraw into its shell entirely if it feels threatened.
Omanyte regulates its buoyancy by releasing air from within its shell and maneauvers using its tentacles. In the past, it was preyed upon by Pokémon such as Carracosta and Archeops. Since the species' resurrection thanks to human science, it has become something of a pest in certain areas where its presence has disrupted the food chain.
Abilities[]
- Withdraw - Omanyte withdraws into its shell to defend itself from harm.
- Water Gun - Omanyte spews a jet of water at opponents.
- Rollout - After withdrawing into its shell, Omanyte rolls at high speed to ram its opponent, picking up speed with each successful hit.
- Mud Shot - Omanyte spits a glob of mud at the opponent, causing damage and reducing their vision.

Omanyte evolves into Omastar at Level 40.
