Muk is a Poison-Type Pokémon and the evolved form of Grimer. Its amorphous body s made up of highly toxic sludge that can be deadly to the touch.

Muk appears largely the same as Grimer, but larger in size and typically has one of its two arms tucked away while reaching out with the other. Its body is extremely toxic and pungent; any plant life in its proximity will swiftly rot and people or Pokémon will fall severely ill if they so much as brush up against it. Any fertile land that Muk crosses will become barren and remain that way for three years.
While Muk are known to thrive in heavily polluted areas, improvements in waste management and environmental care have caused its population to decline. It has even become endangered in some regions, leading to the construction of sludge ponds to help maintain its population.
Alolan Variant[]
The Alolan variant of Muk possesses a more vibrant palette of colours to its body rather than the universal purple-gray colour of Muk from other regions. It comes in a mixture of green, pink, yellow and dark blue colours that shift and distort as it moves. Clumps of white calcium crystals can be seen all over its body; these crystals contain concentrated poisons and are potentially deadly to touch.
Abilities[]
- Body Slam - Muk brings its whole body down upon an opponent, burying them in its oozing mass.
- Poison Gas - Muk exhales clouds of toxic gas that will leave foes deathly ill, slowly draining their health.
- Minimize - Muk will melt its body down as an evasive tactic.
- Crunch - A Dark-Type move performed by the Alolan variant. Since the Alolan Muk has teeth, it can bite down on opponents to inflict high damage and potentially leave the enemy paralysed.
- Sludge Bomb - Muk flings a blob of putrid gunk at foes that can inflict heavy damage. Upon impact, this glob bursts and releases a cloud of toxic gas that may poison the enemy.
