Mnomquah, also the Lord of the Black Lake or The Monster in the Moon, is a Great Old One who appears in the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu Mythos.
Description[]
Mnomquah is said to have the body of a colossal reptile, a great forest of tentacular "feelers" which sprout from atop his head, and eyeless sockets which nevertheless allow him to see.
History[]
Lying trapped in a great cavern beneath the moon of the Dreamlands, how Mnomquah came to be held captive there is not known for sure, but was likely the work of the Elder Gods. In his prison, he rules over the great Lake of Ubboth, waiting for the day when the other Great Old Ones return and he can be reunited with his mate, the disgusting creature named Oorn.
