Michiru Kagemori (影森 みちる, Kagemori Michiru) is the main protagonist of the Brand New Animal series.

Michiru is a tanuki. She has blue hair styled in a bob cut with black tips, a blue tail with a black tip, dark teal eyes, and pointy ears that stick into her hair. Her hands, feet, and a patch on her face are dark brown, while the rest of her body is light brown.
She wears a loose gray tank top, a black compression tank top underneath it, navy sports shorts with light green trim, a red sports jacket with white trim and the collar up, and white sneakers with red soles. Personality[]
Michiru is compassionate, brave, and energetic. She cares for both beastmen and humans and she will not tolerate violence against anyone, even against terrorists and people with ill intent. She goes to great lengths to protect her companions, even at her own cost.
Michiru's strong will also carries out her actions. She is stubborn and not easily swayed by peer pressure. Once she has a set goal in mind, she is determined to achieve it.
