Legend has it that on a dangerous road between mountains, a bus suffered an accident, killing all the people who were traveling on it. Since then, said bus circulates at night and those who dare to ride it.
From the city of Toluca to the city of Ixtapan de la Sal, previously it was forced to travel along a rather winding and dangerous road, as it borders an extremely deep, almost vertical cliff and solid rock. Currently there is a highway.
One day of so many, a bus left Ixtapan de la Sal bound for Toluca. The trip was the most normal although it circulated at night, many of the passengers had made that trip several times so they took the opportunity to sleep.
The bus started the journey full, went up the hill without problems when it started to rain, as so many times on that part of the road, then it reached the highest point and then began the descent and began the famous Calderón curves, a stretch of road , in which the curves are extremely closed and dangerous, it is also characterized because regardless of whether you go to Toluca or come from it that part is downhill, because it is part of a fairly large hollow and where there is a bridge in which Only one car fits and it is also when coming out of a very tight curve.
Very serious accidents have occurred on that bridge, many of them fatal, it is so deep that except for the amount of sharp stones on the sides, a "bungee" could easily be attached. The bus in question began its descent, with rain and of course the wet pavement.
Suddenly the passengers realize that the bus is gaining speed and they get scared, claiming the driver, who does not say anything at all, then extremely nervous he says:
-"Brakes are failing."
In a short time the bus takes so much speed that it is impossible to control it and in a curve the bus plunges into the void, many die instantly from the blow, others lie unconscious, until the bus catches fire and in a short time is consumed by flames . Nobody heard the screams of the few passengers who called for help and they all die in a horrible way.
Meanwhile in the offices of the bus station they do not receive the report that bus number 40 of this bus line has arrived, it is too late and it was the last of the night so that if it broke down, there will be no other than it. reach and be able to bring passengers, so a vehicle is dispatched to investigate.
There does not seem to be a trace of him the whole way, at least not until reaching the Calderón curves, where a police patrol has located a terrible accident. There are no survivors and the bodies are destroyed outside what was left of the bus and others burned inside it.
It was only in the news for a short time, but from that date on and at night if you find yourself on the Ixtapan de la Sal highway, heading to Toluca at night and try to get on a bus, it may be number 40 the one who stops and opens the door for you.
When you approach it you will notice that it is an old bus, but in good condition, and as some bus lines use not so new vehicles, you will not care much, but then you will realize that even when it is full, with people standing, there is always a empty place, or two or three, always according to the number of people who have just got on.
Nobody occupies those seats so you sit even when it seems strange, and you feel an emptiness in your stomach. You realize that despite the time no one is asleep, women, men and children are awake, but no one speaks, not even the children, it is a heavy silence, and everyone is well groomed.

The driver's assistant who checks the tickets (or charges you the ticket) begins a few minutes later to check them, you prepare the amount of your ticket but, he never comes to your place to request the cost, that is even more rare, but you think that at get off at the terminal you will pay.
You arrive in Toluca without setbacks, but after midnight, then the driver stops the unit before reaching the Terminal and tells you that you must get off at that moment, although the journey is not over and you do not understand why you are obeying. Then when you reach the driver, the only one who speaks, and when trying to pay your ticket, he tells you that it is nothing and adds:
-"Get down now and don't turn around before I close the door or you'll never leave the bus."
Those who obey, get off and do not turn, if not until the sound of the door closing and the bus engine starts, only to realize that there is no bus, it has disappeared. Disobedient people when they get off and turn around see the bus in pieces, skinny skeletons inside and the driver looking at you without saying anything. The bus disappears and the person in question dies a few days later.
It is said that from that moment on his ghost gets on the bus and will travel forever.
