Man-Spider is the mutated form of Spider-Man which appears in both the comics and in the 1990s animated series.
Biography[]
When Spider-Man's body begins to mutate from the side effects of his powers, Peter seeks the help of Dr. Mariah Crawford, who helps him by giving him what she believes to be the cure. However, this only makes things worse, this cure only speeds up the mutation resulting in the birth of four more arms coming out of Peter's torso, giving a total of eight limbs, six arms and two legs.
Peter still feels the need to capture Michael Morbius (Mutant Vampire), at this time another character, Punisher (The Punisher) also appears to kill Spiderman. Finally spiderman can not control the mutation anymore and this gives way to the complete mutation of him called "Spider Man".
Man Spider has Peter's feelings but he can't do anything about it because his mutation prevents him from seeing Peter's memories.
Spider-Man continues to search for Morbius while he fights the Punisher. On the other hand, Dr. Crawford asks her boyfriend "Kraven the hunter" to find Man Spider, who is also involved with the Punisher. Punisher lost the battle with Spider-Man and Spider-Man was captured by Spider-Man in the basement of the Word Trade Center parking garage. Kraven follows the trail of our mutant hero and manages to administer another cure created by Dr. Crawford, this time reversing the effects of the mutation. The nightmare is over, however, Spider-Man has to keep seeing Dr. Curt Connors to stop the mutation or else his arms will continue to grow back.
