Man-Beast is a villainous character from Marvel Comics that began his life as an enemy of Thor, but would grow to become a more recurring threat to Adam Warlock. He is one of many creations of the mad geneticist known as the High Evolutionary.
History[]
Man-Beast was created by the High Evolutionary via hyper-evolving a wolf and granting it superhuman powers. However, he seemed to have gone too far in how much power and cunning he granted Man-Beast and the creature quickly became a vicious, power-hungry criminal with a god-complex that sought to conquer the universe.
Due in part to Thor interfering with the hyper-evolution further, the Man-Beast would also develop an extreme hatred of all life, including its own creator. This would quickly make the monster prone to extreme plans of evil; the definition of a super-villain, albeit one bestowed with cosmic powers allowing it to take on some of the most powerful beings in existence.
Abilities[]
- Superhuman Physiology - Man-Beast is hyper-evolved from a wolf and is said to be the "peak" of both lupine and human mental and physical potential, thus his physiology is immensely superior to most, capable of fighting beings as strong as Thor, while also having an exceptional sense of hearing, smell and taste as well as see in the infrared or ultraviolet spectrum.
- Psychic Mastery - Man-Beast is an immense psychic entity capable of emotional manipulation, energy-projection, force-field projection and even anti-matter field creation, allowing him to disintegrate almost anything.
- Technology - Man-Beast is a genius many times over and thus often uses advanced technology, such as teleportation devices and his Hate Ray.
