The Lance Soldier is a type of Emblem Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts II. It is a tall, skinny humanoid creature with a spherical black head contained within an hourglass-shaped helmet. It has armoured gauntlets and boots and carries a crooked lance that appears to sport spiral-shaped eyes and a jagged mouth. Its Heartless emblem is located on its chest.
Lance Soldiers are encountered at Beast's Castle and Port Royal. In battle, it will attack by charging at Sora, but tends to trip and throw its lance. It may also perform a spinning attack that can inflict moderate damage. If its health is low, it will perform a devastating attack where its lance goes berserk and zips around the area at high speed, dragging the Soldier along with it. While in this state, the Lance Soldier cannot be harmed by magic or most normal attacks.
