Kroxigor are a type of Lizardman which appear in Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy and Age of Sigmar settings.

Description[]

Hulking reptilian humanoids standing twice the height of a man, Kroxigor are walking slabs of muscle and razor-sharp teeth. Whilst not possessed of a particularly high degree of intelligence, they are more than capable of taking instruction and performing relatively complex construction work. Birthed from the same spawning pools as their smaller cousins the Skinks, Kroxigor share a particular bond with that diminutive breed and, like them, are equally at home in water or on land.

During times of peace, Kroxigor are usually found doing the heavy lifting work required in Lizardman society, hauling masonry and other material too heavy for other Lizardmen, and building the larger structures which that race is so fond of erecting. In this role they are directed by the Skinks, who act as foremen for their larger brethren.

When war comes upon the Lizardmen, the Kroxigor are given double-handed brass or obsidian clubs, and function in one of two distinct roles. In the first instance, they operate as small units composed of their own kind, and used as powerhouse assault troops. At other times, they are surrounded by hordes of Skinks, who take courage from the presence of their intimidating cousins, and complement their mighty attack potential with a rain of poisoned javelins or darts at range, and many small stabbing and slashing attacks when the enemy gets too close. In this situation, the long reach of a Kroxigor allows them to swing their heavy maces at their foes above the heads of the Skinks without fear of harming their smaller allies.
