Huggy Wuggy.jpg

Huggy Wuggy, also known as Experiment 1170 by the scientists of Playtime Co. is the main antagonist of the horror game Poppy Playtime's first chapter, A Tight Squeeze. He is a living toy who mercilessly stalks the unnamed protagonist.

With his many sharp teeth, Huggy can easily devour humans. He is also very fast (as 19 miles per hour).

Despite being a barbaric and bloodthirsty creature, Huggy is not mindless. He is extremely intelligent and can formulate strategies against his targets (such as pretending to be a statue to fool the protagonist, and when he actively lured the protagonist deeper into the facility all the way in while stalking them.

Huggy is very flexible, able to easily fit his body into vents.

Huggy Wuggy is shown in the game to be an enormous creature with incredibly long arms and legs, leaving him standing at a towering height of at least 10 feet. He has blue fur and many sharp teeth, on top of having another mouth inside of its mouth. He has yellow hands, red lips, and eyes that resemble googly-eyes. While seemingly a robotic creature, Huggy Wuggy's revelation of his multiple mouths, blood he produces when he falls to his supposed death and saliva in his mouth when he kills the ex-employee heavily hint at him actually being organic.

Experiment 1170

In 1984, Playtime Co., an extremely successful toy manufacturing company, set Huggy Wuggy on the market as one of their many creations. The toy became the company's most popular and best-selling toy, and the company's mascot as a whole. However, sometime prior to the events of the game Playtime Co. experimented on a Huggy Wuggy toy to be more lively using an actual human(highly theorized to be an employee or an orphan),but the experiment ultimately backfired and it went on a killing rampage, slaughtering every employee.

Protagonist's Arrival

Years after all employees disappeared, the sole survivor of the rampage, an ex-employee who leaved the company before the incident, gets a letter from an unknown sender, saying that the employees never left and they are still in the factory, wanting the protagonist to "find the flower." The protagonist enters the abandoned factory to find out how everyone within disappeared. As the player moves through the factory, Huggy can be seen watching and stalking them.

Huggy falls to his presumed death.

After the player puts the toy from the Make-a-Toy machine to the scanner, a door opens. Right when they're going to move through, Huggy emerges from the darkness and chases the player into the ventilation shaft. Exiting the shaft, the player runs to a bridge, however, it's a dead end, blocked by boxes. Luckily, there is a box above. The player grabs it and smacks it into the bridge, causing it to collapse. While the player survives the fall, Huggy slips and falls into the abyss, colliding with some pipes, leaving his fate ambiguous.
