The Hidebehind is a nocturnal creature found in American folklore, where it is speculated to have been created by lumberjacks as an excuse to get drunk. It preys on unlucky humans who wander around in the woods alone, supposedly eating there livers. The Hidebehind is known, as the name suggests, to hide behind trees, rocks and/or its victims, making it near impossible to see or find. It uses this skill to stalk and hunt down prey. Once the prey has been caught it gets dragged back to its home to be eaten. The Hidebehind only targets singular victims, avoiding groups outright. It also has a strong aversion to alcohol, and will refuse to eat drunk victims.
