La Guajona is a mythological Cantabrian being, which resembles a disfigured human being, which partly resembles the witches and sorceresses of medieval European folklore, with the specific characteristics of its eating habits. She covers herself from head to toe with a thin old black cloak, her hands and feet are twisted bird legs, her face is yellow with worn-out warts, rough and hairy, her eyes are tiny and bright like stars, her nose is aquiline and mouth provided with a single sharp black razor tooth that is so long they reach under the chin and use it to suck blood. It only comes out at night and hides in the shadows, but it is unknown where it sleeps during the day although it is suspected that they hide underground. Guajona come from houses without being noticed and walks silently towards healthy children to suck their blood in their sleep by sticking their teeth in their veins. She doesn't kill them, instead she leaves them almost bloodless so when he wakes up in the morning he will be tired, pale and colorless. Guajona also attacks adults. This is one of the few myths or legends about vampires in Spain, along with Conde Estruch.
