Grubber is a hedgehog-like creature and one of the secondary antagonists in My Little Pony: The Movie.
Appearance[]
Grubber is a small creature that resembles a hedgehog and has gray fur with a white mane. He also wears a jumpsuit with the symbol of the Storm King.
Biography[]
Grubber first appears carrying a megaphone announcing the Storm King's arrival. He introduces all the ponies to Tempest Shadow, after she starts attacking the ponies with obsidian orbs, Grubber goes for Twilight Sparkle and her friends but they he loses sight of them as they fall into a large waterfall that carried a river over the Canterlot Bridge and tells his Storm Guards that he wouldn't dare go in the water because it's going to give him a cramp.
He later informs Tempest Shadow about Twilight and her friends running away, though Tempest is initially unfazed, Grubber already knows she's disappointed and gives her a cupcake only for her to attack him with her broken horn, then runs away when Tempest orders him to bring her ship to her in a fury.
Grubber appears throughout the film making comedic moments, eating desserts somewhere and giving information about the destination to which Twilight and her friends go to Mount Aris. Near the climax, Grubber sees a cake carried by Capper, upon which out of curiosity discovers that it was a trap and is introduced inside and seen for the last time covered in cake when the battle begins.
