Goldeen

Goldeen is a Water-type Pokémon that can be found in bodies of fresh water the world over. It is marked as No. 118 in the National Pokédex.

Pokédex Data[]

Known as the Goldfish Pokémon, Goldeen can be recognised by its unique coloration and wavy fins. Its body is mostly white, but sports orange markings over its back, pectoral fins and tail fins. It also has green eyes and sports a single horn on its head.

Though quite a common Pokémon, Goldeen is admired by many Water Pokémon enthusiasts. Its fins wave elegantly as it swims which many people liken to the frills of a ballroom dress. As such, Goldeen has earned the nickname "Water Dancer". While beautiful, Goldeen are quite temperamental and have a tendency to jab anything perceived as a threat with their horns. Goldeen held in captivity have been known to ram the sides of their enclosures to break out.

Abilities[]

  • Horn Attack - Goldeen will jab an enemy with its horn if provoked.
  • Water Pulse - Goldeen blasts the opponent with a high-pressure water projectile. This can potentially concuss and confuse the opponent.
  • Tail Whip - Goldeen flails its tail fins in order to distract a foe, causing them to let their guard down.
  • Agility - Goldeen swims at high speed to evade enemy attacks.

Evolution[]

Goldeen evolves into Seaking at Level 33.
