The Giant Ape is a creature which appeared in the 2012 fantasy-horror movie The Cabin in the Woods.
Description[]
An enormous ape dozens of feet tall, the Giant Ape resembled a colossal gorilla, although it possessed a pair of long, demonic, backwards-curving horns. It was employed by the Buenos Aires division of The Organization in the year of the System Purge to complete The Ritual, although it’s exact function remains a mystery. However, by means unknown the rite failed and the Giant Ape was defeated, contributing to the complete global failure of The Ritual, and the rising of the Ancient Ones to destroy mankind.
