Ghadamon, also known as The Seed of Azathoth, is a Great Old One who appears in the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu Mythos.
Description[]
A large amoeboid mass which feeds on human brains, Ghadamon has remained hidden for untold aeons beneath a great lake in an undisclosed location. Weighing roughly one thousand pounds at its last sighting, the Great Old One’s body is composed of what appears to be a bluish-brown mucus; it drags this horrible form with difficulty across land by means of pseudopods which it is capable of extruding at will. It constantly forms blisters and open sores across its surface which periodically burst, spewing forth disgusting toxins which Ghadamon then reabsorbs back into itself. In addition, what seem to be severely deformed human heads continually take shape within its body; these appear to observe their surroundings for a short while before disappearing back into the depths of the being’s mass.
Ghadamon’s epithet suggests that it is the offspring of the Outer God Azathoth, although whether this is actually the case is still unknown.
