Geryuganshoop anime AV

Geryuganshoop is a prominent antagonist in One-Punch Man, serving as one of the high-ranking officers of the Dark Matter Thieves, a group of alien invaders led by Lord Boros, serving as his right-hand. His primary role is to assist Lord Boros in his campaign against Earth and to fight the S-Class heroes sent to stop the invasion.

Appearance[]

Geryuganshoop is an alien with dark blue physique is enveloped in a translucent skin that shimmers with rainbow hues when it enters combat. Rather than having a conventional body with arms, legs, or a torso, Geryuganshoop's form consists of numerous tentacle-like appendages that extend from its neck, resembling the fluid motion of an octopus. Its head is oval-shaped, with two unsettling eyes and a mouth, giving it an eerie, otherworldly appearance. This bizarre structure allows Geryuganshoop a high degree of agility and versatility, making it a formidable opponent in battle.

Personality[]

Geryuganshoop was deeply loyal to Lord Boros, willing to put itself in harm's way to protect him from any threat, even if it meant facing danger head-on. Despite this, it recognized its own elevated position within the Dark Matter Thieves and took on the role of giving orders to the crew, overseeing the operations aboard their ship from a control room. Geryuganshoop's intelligence was evident in its calculated demeanor, though it could quickly lose its composure if the ship or those aboard it were threatened.

In battle, Geryuganshoop was highly confident and even arrogant, convinced that it was the most skilled psychic in the entire universe. This inflated sense of self-importance led it to overestimate its abilities, as it believed no other being could match its psychic prowess. This overconfidence was evident when Geryuganshoop attempted to confront an intruder who had already decimated much of the ship's crew, thinking it could handle the situation alone despite the odds stacked against it.

Powers and abilities[]

As a Dragon-level mysterious being, Geryuganshoop was an immensely powerful entity, boasting vast psychic abilities that made it one of the most formidable members of the Dark Matter Thieves, alongside Groribas and Melzargard. Despite facing Saitama, it showed no fear, even after witnessing the hero’s ability to defeat Groribas, demonstrating its confidence in its psychic skills—though ultimately, these abilities weren’t enough to stand against Saitama.

Physical Abilities:[]

  • Enhanced Durability: Geryuganshoop displayed impressive resilience, remaining unscathed even after being buried under a large door, indicating its physical toughness and ability to withstand damage.

Supernatural Abilities:[]

  • Psychokinesis: Geryuganshoop’s psychokinetic powers were exceptional, allowing it to manipulate and hurl objects with ease using only its mind. It possessed an extremely high psychic output, able to eliminate friction between objects and air, a feat beyond even the abilities of Tatsumaki. As a result, the objects it launched flew at near-light speeds without disintegrating, showcasing the immense control it had over its powers.
  • Telepathy: In addition to its telekinetic prowess, Geryuganshoop also possessed telepathy, which it used to communicate with Saitama, attempting to guide him out of the ship in a peaceful manner. It also utilized telepathy to communicate with its fellow invaders and subordinates.

Fighting Style:[]

  • Master Psychic Combatant: Geryuganshoop was a seasoned combatant, using its environment to its advantage in battle. It frequently launched rocks at its opponents with psychokinesis, taking full advantage of its ability to eliminate friction between objects and air, allowing them to travel at speeds near that of light. Geryuganshoop boasted that it was the top psychic combatant in the universe, demonstrating its high level of pride and confidence.
    • Telekinetic Shower of Rubble (念動流石波, Nen-dō Sasuga Nami): Geryuganshoop accelerated rubble and launched it at high speeds toward its target, using its psychokinetic powers as a deadly weapon.
    • Telekinetic Gravitational Wave (超動念動重力波, Chō-dō nendō jūryoku ha): This move, exclusive to the anime, involved Geryuganshoop manipulating gravity, increasing the gravitational forces around a specific area, allowing it to control the battlefield and hinder its opponents.

Story[]

Geryuganshoop is first seen overseeing the damage caused to the ship. When Lord Boros approaches, asking about the situation, Geryuganshoop explains the state of affairs and informs him that Groribas has already been defeated and Melzargard is currently incapacitated. Boros orders Geryuganshoop to send Groribas after Saitama, but Geryuganshoop quickly informs him of Groribas' demise and Melzargard's current situation. It contacts Melzargard, giving the order to return to the ship and confront the intruder. However, Melzargard, still engaged in battle, requests support fire from the ship.

Geryuganshoop proceeds to contact the ship's gunner, while also telepathically reaching out to Saitama, warning him to stop advancing further into the ship. Saitama, undeterred, ignores the warning and charges forward into Boros' throne room.

Determined to stop the intruder, Geryuganshoop attacks Saitama from behind, launching a barrage of rubble from the destroyed door. Confident in its telekinetic abilities, it boasts that no one can survive its attacks. Geryuganshoop sends an overwhelming amount of debris flying toward Saitama, believing it has secured victory. However, to its surprise, Saitama emerges unscathed, remarking that throwing rocks around with telekinesis is a pointless display of power, since anyone could do it. Saitama then casually throws a small rock at Geryuganshoop’s head, splitting it in half with ease.
