FloweyTransparent

Flowey is a talking flower who acts as a major character in Undertale.

Appearance[]

Flowey is a flower with yellow petals similar to a sunflower, and has a green stem.

As Photoshop Flowey, he takes on a horrific form consisting of large, vine-like extensions covered in spikes with claws on his feet. His head is now a television monitor that changes to his face and through it a person who looks like a junkie.

Biography[]

Many years ago, Chara was the first human to fall to Mount Ebott where Asriel Dreemurr would find him and take him home. There, Toriel and Asgore treated the human as their son and became a family.

One day, the human fell ill and before he died, he made a wish to see the flowers in his village and died in the end. Asriel, with a broken heart, absorbed the soul of the human and crossed the barrier where he placed the human in a bed of flowers as he had wanted it. However, a crowd of villagers saw him, believing that he had killed the child and they reacted by lynching him. Asriel allowed himself to be attacked by the men of the village.

Asriel, all beaten and injured, arrived at his parents' castle where he fell to the ground right in front of his garden and turned to dust upon death. From then on, Asgore decided to swear that any human who fell underground would be killed. Toriel, disgusted by her husband's decision, fled into the Ruins. Asgore entrusted the scientist Dr. Alphys to find a way of breaking the Barrier between the Underground and human world without using a human soul. Using a substance called Determination, Alphys conducted many experiments on monsters to see if they were capable of breaking the barrier. These tests proved fruitless, but Alphys later tried introducing Determination to an object without a soul, taking one of the flowers that Asriel had died upon. As a result, with his essence absorbed in the flower, he was reborn within it, with all of his old memories, but without his soul. Due to lacking a soul, Asriel couldn't feel any positive feelings such as love or happiness.

The seventh fallen human[]

Years later, another human named Frisk entered Mount Ebott and in a false move fell to the ground remaining unconscious, when he woke up Frisk continued on his way until he found a small piece of grass where Flowey was, she greeted him kindly for arriving underground and asks him to train a little to gain some experience, Flowey tells Frisk everything about love and throws some balls that are heading towards him, that's where the decisions come from:

  • Dodge them: If Frisk is allowed to dodge the bullets, Flowey will be a little reluctant saying that he hasn't caught anything and asks for a second try, on the second, Flowey gets annoyed with him and forces him to go to the bullets but on the third fails completely.
  • Get hit: If Frisk lets himself be hit by the bullets, they will do extreme damage causing Flowey to turn into a beast revealing that in this world it is kill or be killed.

In both decisions, Flowey will summon a circle of white bullets that appear around Frisk and as they get closer, he begins to laugh at his madness but when it is about to hit him, life mysteriously regenerates and a ball of fire appears and hits Flowey. removing her from the scene, then Toriel appears meeting Frisk and leads him on his way to the ruins.
