Flesh golem

Flesh golems are the weakest variety of golem in Dungeons & Dragons. These grisly constructs are made from assorted parts taken from various organic creatures. The parts may be stitched, glued or bolted together into a cohesive form which is then brought to life through alchemy. The final result is a mindless automaton that will obey whatever simple orders are given to it by its master.

Flesh golems may be weaker than other golem types, but can still be hardy, resilient creatures. They are often used for hard labour or as bodyguards, possessing superhuman strength and endurance with no sense of pain or even self-preservation.

Abilities[]

  • Slam - Flesh golems will attack by flailing their limbs with all their strength.
  • Berserk - After taking sufficient damage, a flesh golem will become enraged and run out of control, destroying anything in its path.
  • Magic Resistance - Golems of any kind are typically resistant to magical attacks.
  • Lightning Absorption - Lightning-based magic attacks will actually heal a flesh golem instead of damaging it.
  • Darkvision - Golems can see perfectly in complete darkness.
  • Immutable Form - Golems cannot be affected by any shape-altering spells.

Weaknesses[]

  • Aversion to Fire - Flesh golems are vulnerable to flame-based attacks.
