A species of oversized, predatory amphibian, Blot Toads are the largest of the family of Barking Toads native to the jungle continent of Lustria. These repulsive little creatures are known to emit a noxious odour repellant to all cold-blooded creatures, although why they might have evolved such a trait is a mystery.
Blot Toads are known to favour the taste of Ripperdactyl eggs over all other foods, and will happily make their way to the rocky mountain nests of these creatures in search of such a meal. Needless to say, this makes them the number one target for the ferocious Ripperdactyls, who will hunt and kill a Blot Toad over every other species of animal.
An unusual side effect of this is seen in the activities of the Skinks. These diminutive Lizardmen have been known to surreptitiously plant Blot Toads in amongst groups of their opponents before unleashing their comrades, the elite Ripperdactyl Riders, upon the foe. The frenzy induced in the Ripperdactyl mounts by the scent of their ancestral enemies invariably results in spectacular carnage.
