Algomon

Algomon is a Mutant Digimon born from a computational glitch. It is drawn to areas with high concentrations of data leakage where it will consume the excess data in order to multiply. As a Virus Digimon, it exists solely to consume and spread, disrupting computer networks as it does so and thereby presenting a grave threat to both the Digital World and the real world.

Forms

Newborn

Algomon is born from a purple Digi-Egg with bright green streaks. In its Newborn state, it resembles a green cell with an eyespot in the front, in reference to Argus Panoptes, and a pink, snail-like eye on top of its head. It has an extendable piston like that of Erythropsidinium. In this state, Algomon is drawn to sources of high-capacity data where it will feed continuously, multiplying as it does so until the horde completely engulfs the data source.

Abilities

• Acid Bubbles - At this stage of development, Algomon's only means of defense is to strike attackers with stinging bubbles, distracting the enemy long enough to make an escape.

Baby

In this form, Algomon somewhat resembles a small octopus. Encircling its lower body are a series of tiny tentacles ending in what appear to be metallic screws. Higher on its body are a pair of purple, insect-like feelers. Its front is dominated by a large, circular eye and its top is adorned with a pair of stalks resembling the eyes of a snail when infected with Leucochlordium paradoxum parasites.

Algomon continues to gravitate towards excess data sources, using a circular mouth on its underside to consume data. While still weak, it continues to gain power as it feeds. Its Acid Bubbles remain its only means of defense and it relies on its digivolved brethren for protection.

Child

At this stage, Algomon has developed a spherical body with a purple-colored upper hemisphere and a green lower portion. It has formed several thin, vine-like tentacles that have wrapped around one another to form a pair of arms ending in round clumps, or fists. It has six antennae on its top and eight long tentacles ending in small drills that serve as its legs. Its face consists solely of a large yellow eye.

The Child-form of Algomon acts as a guardian for the swarm of infants that have yet to grow, protecting the clutch from anything that threatens them.

Abilities

• Brute Knuckle - Algomon curls up its loose tentacles into fists to pummel its opponent.
• Imprisonment - Algomon uses its lower tentacles to ensnare and immobilize enemies.

Adult

Upon maturation, Algomon develops a larger, more powerful body. It maintains a spherical shape, but now its face splits open like a flower in bloom, releasing multiple tendrils, or tongues. Six eyes surround its bizarre maw and its antennae have fused into a pair of ears, or perhaps fins. Its arm tentacles have also fused, leaving it with a pair of arms that end in robotic manipulators. Its lower body is now made up of dozens of green tentacles that end in spark plugs.

Algomon is not only stronger, but more intelligent in this state. With a heightened sense of awareness, it actively seeks to cause havoc across both the digital and physical realms.

Abilities

• Imprisonment - Algomon uses the tentacles extending from its mouth to entrap foes.
• Bolt Line - An electrical current runs down Algomon's mouth tendrils to deliver a nasty shock to its trapped enemies.

Ultimate

In its Ultimate digivolution, Algomon takes on a humanoid form with four eyespots, two on its shoulders and two on its thighs, in reference on the mythological Argus Panoptes and a single, curved red horn and bug eyes on its head. It has a pair of green tendrils ending in red claws on its back, hair-like tendrils attached to its head, green feathers on its back and two tendril tails ending in blue tears and purple bands.

As well as its humanoid form, Algomon can also enter Worm Phase, a parasitic form that uses countless tendrils to control a vast field. With such vast processing power, it can easily control an entire area as an extension of itself.

Abilities

• Imprisonment - Algomon binds its enemies with its many tentacles.
• Elimination Line - An electrical energy beam fired from Algomon's eye patterns that can leave enemies paralyzed.
• Hypnos Claw - Algomon scratches its opponents using the electrified claws on the ends of its tentacles.
• Worm Phase - Algomon transforms into a parasitic state that seizes control of a vast area.

Mega

Algomon's final form is a large humanoid creature adorned in armour with many vines extending from the head, back and elbows. It has six eyespots: two on the pseudo-head, one on each shoulder and one on each knee. Its abdomen is actually its mouth which contains countless tendrils and can emit devastating energy attacks.

Abilities

• Brute Force - Algomon beats down its opponent with the sheer size and strength of its body.
• Distortion Line - Algomon fires multiple energy beams from its eyes. The beams are so destructive that they distort dimensions.
• Terabyte Disaster - Algomon unleashes a torrent of destructive beams from its mouth.
• Judecca Cannon - A volley of cursed projectiles that blow up whatever they touch.
