Ferra and Torr are characters from the Mortal Kombat franchise, appearing in Mortal Kombat X and its prequel comic series. These two are a symbiotic pair that function as a single fighter in-game; Ferra is a short, child-like female while Torr is a silent, hulking brute that serves as Ferra's mount.
History[]
The beings known as Ferra and Torr have always been bound to one another. Little is known about their past; some suspect that they are members of a rare symbiotic race while others have claimed that they are discarded genetic experiments from Shang Tsung's Flesh Pits.
At some point, Ferra and Torr were wandering the wastelands of Outworld together when they were attacked by Tarkatans and captured. The pair were separated, with Ferra being chained up and Torr being caged. The pair would later be freed by the new emperor of Outworld, Kotal Kahn, who released Torr from his cage and allowed him to slaughter his Tarkatan captors. After the three feasted on the fallen Tarkatans, Ferra and Torr followed Kotal Kahn back to Z'unkahrah, willingly offering their service as protectors to their saviour.
In the years that followed, Ferra and Torr served as Kotal Kahn's bodyguards and members of his court along with Reptile, Ermac, D'Vorah and Erron Black. They would act as the emperor's enforcers during the Outworld Civil War, engaging in kombat with the Kahn's enemies and taking great delight in violence.
Abilities[]
Unlike most Outworlders, Ferra and Torr do not seem to possess any magical abilities. Instead, they rely on their physical attributes, namely Ferra's wild, chaotic movements and quickness combined with Torr's raw brute strength. The pair have a number of moves that require both of them working in tandem to perform, such as Torr throwing Ferra as a projectile, or using her as a melee weapon with Ferra using her bladed gauntlets to carve up their foes. Ferra can even cause Torr to enter a berserk rage by stabbing him, at which point he becomes aggressive to everyone around him and attacks with unchecked savagery.
