The Fargul Hatcher is a tripedal creature that appears in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Native to the planet Bryyo, this bizarre creature appears to be part reptile and part crustacean, though its precise genus is unclear.
Fargul Hatchers move slowly and seem to be blind, though they are capable of sensing movement, perhaps reacting to vibrations in their surroundings. They release swarms of Fargul Wasps which are born from their mouths and will attack any outside threats mere seconds after birth. Hatchers are most vulnerable from behind where a vital nerve cluster is exposed. Destroying the nerve cluster will kill the Hatcher.
