Falfa anime

Falfa is one of the main characters of Slime Taoshite 300 nen. She is the older twin sister of Shalsha.

Background[]

An energetic and outgoing girl, Falfa is the polar opposite of her reserved and introverted sister, Shalsha. Known for her carefree and playful nature, she delights in engaging with others and bringing a lively atmosphere wherever she goes. Despite her playful disposition, Falfa is highly intelligent, particularly in practical sciences and mathematics, excelling in areas that require hands-on problem-solving and analytical thinking.

As a conglomeration of many slime spirits that Azusa had previously defeated, Falfa feels a deep sense of familial connection to Azusa. This bond prompts her to visit Azusa's home in the Highlands, where she warns her of Shalsha's approach and the danger she poses, acting out of both concern and loyalty to the woman she considers family.

Appearance[]

Falfa has medium-length, pale blue hair, with two light green hair ties placed neatly on either side of her head. Her bright green eyes reflect her playful and energetic personality. She wears an orange apron dress that is slit down the flanks and tied at the waist with a white cloth, complementing the off-white short-sleeved undershirt and knee-length bloomers she dons underneath.

Personality[]

Falfa is a lively, sociable, and outgoing young girl who contrasts sharply with her more reserved sister, Shalsha. She loves meeting new people and taking part in social events, which is evident from her attendance at notable occasions like the Red Dragon's wedding and her first trip to the Demon Kingdom.

Unlike Shalsha, Falfa immediately embraced Azusa as her mother, feeling a deep sense of gratitude that Azusa’s long history of slaying slimes ultimately led to her creation. Falfa’s natural warmth and outgoing personality make her endearing, and she easily formed a bond with Azusa, accepting her maternal role with joy.

Academically, Falfa is highly intelligent, though her focus leans more towards practical sciences and mathematics. This practical mindset often leads her to make blunt, straightforward decisions, yet she is often successful in doing so. For example, she cleverly suggested dropping Rosalie, who was inside Halkara's body, from a height to separate them, showing her knack for making efficient, albeit sometimes direct, choices.

However, when in her slime form, Falfa loses most of her conscious mind, becoming much like a typical slime. She still recognizes her family but begins to act instinctively, often consuming random objects off the ground like any other slime. Despite this, her bond with her family remains intact, showcasing her love and attachment to them even in her altered state.

Plot[]

Falfa made her first appearance in Episode 13, Chapter 3, when she came to Azusa's house to warn her that her twin sister, Shalsha, was on her way to kill her. Despite the violent history surrounding her creation—being a conglomeration of slimes Azusa had killed—Falfa firmly believed that she, along with Shalsha, could leave the past behind and build a new, happy life with Azusa as their mother. She also revealed that Shalsha had been practicing spell-breaking magic to exact revenge, but Falfa wanted to prevent that from happening and sought peace instead.

In Chapter 11, Falfa’s journey took a drastic turn when she reverted back to her slime form, unable to maintain her human shape. The family, led by Azusa, traveled to various places seeking a solution, eventually meeting Bussler, a high-level slime capable of reshaping bodies. To convince Bussler to help, Azusa and Beelzebub entered a fight match against Bussler. Beelzebub’s strength ultimately subdued Bussler, who, after being knocked down, healed Falfa, marking a victory for Azusa and helping her regain her proper form.

Chapter 25 saw Falfa, along with Shalsha and Sandra, expressing a desire to attend school. Shalsha had been teaching Sandra alongside Falfa, and after this experience, she believed that being in an environment with more children would be beneficial for them. The trio eventually enrolled in school, only to find that Falfa had already absorbed all the necessary knowledge to graduate from college. Meanwhile, Shalsha found herself debating sophisticated philosophical issues with the teacher, while Sandra entertained herself by digging into the ground during a game of catch. The school, recognizing the twins' exceptional intellect, eventually declared them “beyond their ability” and allowed them to graduate early.

Abilities[]

Unlike her sister Shalsha, Falfa lacks magical abilities but possesses an extraordinary talent for practical sciences and mathematics. Her skills in these fields, particularly economics, enable her to make well-informed and effective decisions, especially when it comes to business. This is best exemplified by her success in managing the Cottage in the Highlands's Edible Slimes bakery, which became an unexpected hit. Her ability to apply her knowledge of practical sciences to day-to-day business operations allowed her to turn the bakery into a thriving enterprise, showcasing her resourcefulness and adaptability.

Additionally, after learning how to return to her human form, Falfa gained the ability to switch back to her slime form whenever she chooses. This flexibility allows her to retain the benefits of her slime state, such as the ability to consume various things without consequence, while still being able to interact with her family and others in her human shape when desired.
