Fairy Godmother (also known as Dama Fortuna) is the main antagonist in Shrek 2. She is the mother of Prince Charming.

The Fairy Godmother appears as a fortune teller in a deleted prologue in the first Shrek film.
Shrek 2[]
She is the main antagonist in Shrek 2. She visited Fiona when Fiona was crying, and revealed to her that she was her Fairy Godmother. The Fairy Godmother starts to sing a song while introducing a lot of magical objects, such as furniture to her. Shrek then walks into the room, and Fiona introduces Shrek as her Husband, the Fairy Godmother is surprised, and asks when that happened. The Fairy Godmother then leaves, and soon after pulls her carriage beside King Harold's bedroom, and tells him to come inside for a talk, she takes him for a ride to a restaurant called Friar's Fat Boy. They then have a discussion about Charming getting together with Fiona, and tries to force him to think of a plan to get Charming and Fiona together. She later appears in the Potion Factory, where she works. She has an argument with Shrek, and realises that Shrek stole a potion that turns him into a human. This gives her a plan to get Charming and Fiona together, and that plan is to get Charming to pose as Shrek.
Later on, after Charming posed as Shrek, the Fairy Godmother stops Shrek from seeing Fiona, and tells him "if he really loved Fiona, he'd let her go', which results in Shrek leaving.
The Fairy Godmother (alongside Charming) meet up with King Harold, and Harold tells them that he doesn't think Fiona is warming up to Charming, and wants to call the whole thing of, so the Fairy Godmother gives Harold a love potion, and tells him to give it to Fiona. Harold refuses to do it, the Fairy Godmother reminds him of their deal, and threatens to take it away just as easy, which results in Harold agreeing.
The Fairy Godmother then appears in the wedding between Charming and Fiona (while all the villagers are convinced that Charming is Shrek), and sings "I need a Hero", Fiona and Charming then kiss, and then Fiona headbutts Charming, which makes him unconscious, she tells Harold that he was supposed to give Fiona the potion, Charming claims that he "gave her the wrong potion" Not long after, Shrek appears soon after and tells Charming to back away from Fiona. The Fairy Godmother is outraged and tells him that he couldn't just go back to his swamp and leave them alone. Soon after, the Fairy Godmother casts her wand at Shrek in an attempt to kill him, but King Harold steps in front and the lightning from the wand reflects back at the Fairy Godmother, which kills her and turns King Harold in to a Frog.
