Little more than a transportation creature for the enormous biocannon which sprouts from its carapace, the Exocrine shares the six-limbed body configuration common to so many Tyranid organisms. Unlike a large percentage, however, the Exocrine is quadrupedal in nature, with the rear two pairs devoted to locomotion and its front pair equipped with a set of long, bony blades for personal defence.
The Exocrine’s primary weapon is, however, its biocannon. This enormous weapon (which is in fact a symbiotic creature in its own right) is capable of firing either a single large blast of organically-generated superheated plasma, or a spread of several smaller shots, giving the advancing Tyranid hordes some much-needed long-range support.
